Sad news about Mikomi… obviously she was declining quickly since I took her to the vet last Wednesday and was treated for pancreatitis … took her back today…lost 5 more lbs quickly… probable lymphoma or stomach cancer… will not know for sure because we are not testing any further on a 13 yr old dog however precious she is to us. Both cancers respond favorably to steroids… it’s only a quick fix… she will decline rapidly when the steroids are ineffective… could be from 1 wk to 6 months. Breathing deeply to stave off relentless tears. We will know by Th if the steroids are going to buy us a bit more time. Flowing tears.
